The terminal is located on a special utility line branching from the Borkhoshuu junction of the Zuunbayan-Tsogtsetsii railway network. This location has the advantage of transferring coal from the mining area to the railway from the nearest point, and provides the opportunity to carry out export transportation stably, reliably and continuously. 
The total length of the railway branch in operation at the terminal is 3.7 km and has engineering solutions that allow for the unloading-loading process to be carried out in a short time with high efficiency. 
It has a capacity to transport 5–10 million tons of coal per year. The terminal’s organizational solutions are designed with the full possibility of increasing capacity in the future. 
The first official shipment to the terminal was successfully completed on April 4, 2025, marking the beginning of a new era in which export transportation is carried out 100% by rail. 
It has two open areas with a total area of ​​​​750×50 meters. These areas are designed to accommodate temporary storage and technical parking prior to shipment and are fully equipped with heavy-duty equipment.
